You know, sometimes it isn't hard to grow a business, it just takes some time and a bit of effort. My friend Phillip Lopez just turned 35, and to celebrate, he posted 35 ways to grow your business. And they are so good, I'm sharing them with you. Be sure you read and think about each one. And then start using them! I like number 12 and number 18 the best. Here they are: **Impromptu 35 Ways to Grow Your Business** 1. Network like crazy. 2. Create videos, let people see yo' damn face and hear your voice. 3. Start building a following on social media, if it seems like too much to do across all platforms...pick ONE and dominate it. 4. Start a blog. 5. Ask for the sale often (nothing wrong with making money). 6. Create your own product. 7. Come from an abundance mindset, not scarcity. There will always be more to teach, don't be scared to give your best shit away fo' free playa. 8. Follow up with people, and then follow up some m...

How To Strike A Balance Between Free Content And Paid Offers

Gain Respect and Trust Before anyone wants to buy anything from you, they need to respect and trust you. They need to think you know what you're talking about. They need to think you will not rip them off, but will lead them toward their desire, and that you have their best interests at heart. If they respect and trust you, they will happily join your email list, your Facebook group, in general, they will follow you loyally. And these are the people who will also buy from you. So you want to build these quality relationships with as many of your prospects as you can. One way to entice people to join your list, and to help them feel you want to help them, is to give away something of value to them. Not only does a free gift help gain their trust, it also builds a feeling of reciprocity. That is, they are likely to feel they should do something for you (like buy your offer) because they received something from you for free. Mak...

What is a WordPress Theme? A WordPress theme changes the design of your website, often including its layout. Themes dictate the way that your WordPress website looks. You can consider it the skin of your site, or the look and feel of your site, it’s the eye-candy that you hope website visitors ooh and ahh about. It changes the aesthetic look of your website, without changing the core functionality of WordPress that we all love and enjoy.  You can think of your theme as the clothes your website wears. Do you Need Captcha?

April 5, 2017

To protect online submission forms from spam bots and other auto-posting programs, webmasters often use captcha. Even though it keeps the simplest those programs and bots out, it also prevents a lot of real people from commenting or sending a contact message. Captcha stands for "Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart" and now you know why no one refers to Captcha with its full name! It's also called a Turing Test or reverse Turing test, but again, most people just know it as Captcha. Most commonly, the way it works is the user is shown some garbled text and is supposed to type that  text into a box and submit it, just to prove that they are really human. The problem with Captcha is that sometimes the characters are really difficult to read, particularly for parties with impaired vision. Typically, if the Captcha is too difficult to read, a person might just click the back button. For example ...

MailZingo [Review]

Today I'm doing a review of a new email marketing software, MailZingo. What is MailZingo? MailZingo is a powerful self-hosted and web-based email marketing software. If you are doing any sort of online marketing, you know you need a list (the money is in the list, you've heard it over and over, right?) And you know you need to email that list with training, offers, hints and tips for whatever niche you are marketing to. So, you think you need an autoresponder, like AWeber, or GetResponse, MailChimp, or other email marketing autoresponder. But, here are the drawbacks to these services. You pay every month. You pay more and more every month as your list grows. They control how you add subscribers to your list. Sometimes you lose 20% to 30% of your subscribers if want to upload a file of subscribers, due to their rules. They can force you to use double optins. They can suspend your account - sometimes you can't figure out...

Journaling is big. The Coloring for Adults craze is big and growing. Just look at these statistics for Coloring for Adults: You can cash in on the yen for journals and the craze for coloring combination in these ways: Sell digital journals with coloring Sell physical journals with coloring Sell the rights to these journals to other marketers As I said, journaling is popular. But sometimes the journalist has "writer's block". It turns out, coloring for a few minutes changes the thinking patterns, relaxes us, and promotes creativity. You can play this up when you sell these journals. The market for journals is wide open. If you create a new type of journal, you'll excite both journal enthusiasts and coloring enthusiasts. The downloads for this product include a discussion of where to sell both digital download journals and physical journals. Some of the suggestions are: Etsy, Gumroad, Sellfy, eBay, yes, ...

Retargeting Remarketing

Retargeting Remarketing

Have you ever seen an ad show up on a webpage, for something you viewed a short while ago on a different website? Yes? I think we all have. That ad is shown using something called "retargeting." This is a good thing for online marketers to know how to do! We wish and hope that every single person that comes to our page follows a very straight path to purchase. Someone visits our site for the first time, then fills out the form to download an ebook or other free offer, then after reading some more, decides to buy our offer, all in one session on our website. But in reality, your prospect's path to purchase is not so linear. People find your website, take a quick look, then leave. Two weeks later, they run into your latest blog post, and then decide to download that free offer. A few days after that, they encounter another blog post. Maybe a week later they decide to really read your sales page, and come back two or three times a...
