Here are some of the more common questions we are asked. Please give us a call if you have any questions that are not answered here.




How soon before we start

Typically, with design work it takes around a week from the time you sign up until the time that you should have your scheduled start date.

At AZ-Web we take great pride in how quickly we get to work on your site, and more importantly, how quickly we can get it completed and running.

If you need to have something built more quickly please ask. For an additional charge we can move you up in the schedule to get your work started earlier. Please remember that you, the client are responsible for providing the content for the site in a timely manner.

How long does it take to build a site
The length of time it takes to complete the site is dependent upon the content of the site. In most cases, if all of the content is provided at least 3 days prior to their scheduled work day a typical small site with one homepage and five sub-pages and no flash will take approximately 1 - 2 work sessions. Work sessions are usually scheduled one time per week to allow enough time for proofing. So, the final product could be finished in 1 - 2 weeks from the scheduled start date.

Most delays come from the client. This usually happens when a client is waiting for content for the web site such as pictures or copy.
How do you get your web site delivered
AZ-Web will provide a draft address for any design work to be viewed prior to it going live. AZ-Web will only make a site live once we have received approval from the client and once the project is paid for in full.

You have the option of either having AZ-Web upload the site via FTP to your web server, or AZ-Web can provide you with a copy of the site on a CD.
How long does it take to turn on hosting services
Hosting services can be turned on immediately. To point your domain name to one of our servers usually takes 24 - 72 hours to propagate.

IP addresses can be turned on immediately if you need one.
Refunds
Once work has been started, no full refunds will be given. Work is started the same day your account is setup which is the same day payment is received. Deposits are non-refunadable. However, on a case by case basis, AZ-Web may give a limited refund within the first 30 days only. After the 30 days, no refunds will be given for any reason. The limited refund will be based on the amount paid minus the number of hours AZ-Web has worked on the site.

Design is subjective. No refunds are given if you don't like the design. If the work is done, the job is considered complete.
Dead Projects
If a client fails to communicate with AZ-Web for more than 45 days it is considered a dead project. If a client decides after 45 days to re-start the project AZ-Web reserves the right to charge additional charges. These additional charges may include a "restart" fee which is $250. In addition, if a substantial amount of time has passed and the work needs a redesign of the homepage after an earlier approval, AZ-Web may charge an additional $300.
Failure to Provide Content
If a client has not been able to provide AZ-Web with the materials needed AZ-Web is not responsible for creating content. This also does not make any kind of refund or discount available to the client.
Month To Month
AZ-Web provides hosting service on a month-to-month basis. If a client decides to leave AZ-Web after the first of the month they are not eligible for any refunds for that, or subsequent months.
Stopping Service
To discontinue your hosting or site management services from AZ-Web you will need to notify AZ-Web in writing before the 1st of the following month.
